A Shirley man is accused of driving high and injuring his female passenger in a crash.
Police say Dayvonte Booker, 21, slammed into a tree on River Road Sunday afternoon.
According to court documents, Booker admitted to smoking a joint just before the crash.
Booker's 18-year-old passenger was in critical condition at Stony Brook University Hospital. He was not hurt.
