Police: Man held up Franklin Square gas station with firearm

The man jumped behind the counter removing an unknown amount of money and multiple cartons of cigarettes.

Nassau County police are searching for a man they say held up a Franklin Square gas station with a firearm.
The suspect entered the BP gas station on Hempstead Turnpike around 6 a.m. Friday, according to detectives.
The man jumped behind the counter removing an unknown amount of money and multiple cartons of cigarettes.
Police say the man was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, black mask and black gloves.
Anyone with information leading to an arrest is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or 911.
