Police say a man was shot and killed inside the garage of a Huntington Station house late Wednesday night.

According to police, a group of people was in the garage of a home on Murdoch Street when someone, who was armed with a gun, walked up the driveway.

The occupants of the garage closed the door and a shot was fired from the driveway, through the door, striking Louis Lombardo, officials say.

Lombardo, 28, of Dix Hills, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
