Police say a 27 year old man exposed himself to two women working inside of the Kate Spade store. They then ran into a back room and he chased them, they locked themselves in and he tried to get in that room repeatedly according to police. That's ridiculous. I I haven't been over there but it's ridiculous. Dwight Claremont who already had two active arrest warrants faced a judge on Monday morning for crimes including public loudness for exposing himself on Saturday around 10:20 AM. I think he should be put in jail for a long time. The world is a little bit out of control. They need a little order. Why not start with that? Claremont has an extensive rap sheet. Nassau County. Police commissioner Patrick Ryder tells us Claremont has been arrested about 15 times in the past including criminal mischief and larceny at the Roosevelt Field Mall. They told him he's no longer Welcome inside the mall. The mall banned Claremont from going there, but with over a dozen entry points, he was able to walk right in. Maybe they need more security. It happens and there's nothing you can do about it. Claremont is facing several charges including a sexually motivated felony. During his arraignment, he was unresponsive and his lawyer told the court he has severe mental health issues. Meanwhile, the police commissioner tells us the victims had a lot of fear put in them from this scary situation is the mall safe. Absolutely. 100%. We have patrols that are dedicated to the mall all the time. Uh We have our our details that are around the area. Also going in BS O C Cope just last week. Operation Overwatch was launched by Nassau County and that allows for roaming police patrols in highly populated areas like the mall or places of worship to the people out there in NASA County. Yes, our malls are very, very safe, but we always want people to take the precautions because of things like a gentleman like him who's been arrested 14, 15 times. We have reached out to the mall for comment on this story and have not yet heard back at this time. Meanwhile, Claremont was held on $10,000 cash bail and is due back in court on Wednesday. And you see the afternoon, we barely get to 40 in most spots. And throughout the day, wind chills are in the twenties. So it's another cold one just like today, we have a little bit more in the way of sunshine. And then Thursday we start to warm up clear skies overnight. No more flurries around more of a southwest wind. Thursday is my pick of the week for lots of sunshine. It will be a beautiful seasonable day. Police: Man fatally stabbed his 81-year-old grandmother inside Amityville home

New information for you right now. A man is arrested for killing his grandmother in Amityville. Police tell us Dwight Claremont stabbed his 81 year old grandmother, Mauricia Leopold to death. They say it happened around 730 this morning inside the woman's home on Watkins Terrace. According to police, a 911 caller reported the stabbing 27 year old Claremont was arrested and charged with second degree murder. The video you're looking at right now is after Claremont, before he faced a judge back in April. As we've reported, he was arrested for exposing himself to two women inside a store at the Roosevelt Field Mall. He will be arraigned on the new charges tomorrow.
