Police: Man faces DWI charges following Freeport crash

Police say Hakeem Matheus, 28, was driving a black Toyota heading east on West Sunrise Highway Sunday when the car crashed into a pole.

Police say a man has been arrested for driving drunk and crashing in Freeport.
According to police, Hakeem Matheus, 28, was driving a black Toyota heading east on West Sunrise Highway Sunday when the car crashed into a pole.
Matheus and his 27-year-old passenger were seriously hurt, but are expected to be OK.
Matheus is facing multiple charges including driving while intoxicated, vehicular assault and reckless driving.
