A man has died after an apparent drowning on the North Shore.
Police say they responded to a swimmer in distress off of Long Beach Road in Nissequogue.
The incident happened just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
Police say Eric Soloff, of Nissequogue, was pulled from the water shortly after.
The 63-year-old died at the hospital.
