Police say a man was found unconscious on a street in Ronkonkoma and was later pronounced dead. 

According to police, the unidentified man was found unresponsive on the side of Remington Boulevard near Sixth Street just before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the man is in his late-50s and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is no word on what may have caused his death.
