Police are searching for the suspect in an attempted robbery in Riverhead.

An employee at the International Connection, a small business on Osborn Avenue, said a man walked into the store showing a gun and demanded money around 7 p.m. Monday.

News 12 has been told the suspect left the store without anything, while the employee was on the phone with police.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
