A Bay Shore man has been arrested for a shooting in Smithtown.

Police say 22-year-old Joseph Llapa shot a 23-year-old man in the arm as he was getting into a car outside of Social Club on West Main Street.

The incident happened last July.

The victim survived.

Llapa is facing assault and reckless endangerment charges.

Llapa is facing a judge later today.
