A man accused of punching and stabbing a woman Saturday in Manhasset is facing charges, according to police.

Authorities say Carlos Mullings, 53, committed the assault after getting into an argument with the 30-year-old victim at a home on Pond Hill Road.

He allegedly hit her in the jaw and used an unknown sharp object to inflict multiple puncture wounds in her left arm.

Police say Mullings was arrested without incident and the woman was hospitalized.

The suspect is set to be arraigned Sunday in Hempstead.
