Police say a Medford man has been arrested after hitting three pedestrians and driving off in Patchogue.

According to police, the incident happened on East Main Street near Phyllis Drive earlier this month.

Police say two people were standing near a car after getting into a crash.

A third person, not involved, walked over to check on them.

That is when officers say 32-year-old Diego Torres drove by and crashed into the car and all three people.

The three people are expected to be OK.

Torres is facing multiple charges.
