A 52-year-old woman was killed Thursday night in a T-bone crash in Brentwood.
Police say the driver of a Nissan slammed into the passenger side of a Toyota as it was backing out of a driveway.
Maria Alfaro, who was in the passenger seat of the Toyota, was killed.
The driver of the Nissan, 33-year old Wilson Nieves, was arrested. Police say Nieves did not have a valid New York driver's license. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Court records also show Nieves was previously arrested in 2006 and charged with driving under the influence and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Nieves was taken to the hospital and will be arraigned on the misdemeanor charge at a later date.
