A Freeport man is facing multiple charges for touching himself inappropriately in front of a child in East Meadow Thursday, authorities say.
While reviewing surveillance video during an unrelated larceny investigation at the Walmart on Hempstead Turnpike, detectives say officers observed Rory K. Anderson follow and approach a 10-year-old and her mother.
Police say Anderson brushed up against the mother and then exposed and touched himself in front of her and her daughter.
Officers placed Anderson, 28, under arrest without further incident.
Authorities say a subsequent investigation revealed that Anderson was also responsible for accessing and manipulating the social media account of a female victim, 25, without her permission back in November.
The family of that victim told News 12 that Anderson and the victim were dating. They say after they broke up, Anderson started stalking and harassing her.
The family says Anderson also slashed the victim's car tires before they got a restraining order against him.
Anderson pleaded not guilty Friday to three counts of public lewdness, endangering the welfare of a child, stalking, harassment and exposure of a person, as well as unauthorized use of a computer.
His attorney, however, said Anderson admitted to having uncontrollable sexual urges.
Detectives request anyone who feels that they may have been a victim of Anderson's actions to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
