A man accused of assaulting an officer Tuesday in Long Beach is facing numerous charges, according to police.
Authorities say the fugitive squad arrived at Edward Kenna’s home around 1:30 p.m. to arrest him on a bench warrant.
They say he became violent and refused to comply with verbal commands.
One officer sustained injuries and was hospitalized for evaluation.
The charges against Kenna include assault, resisting arrest, bail jumping and criminal contempt.
