Dozens of drivers were arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated on Long Island over the New Year's holiday.
Nassau police say they arrested 16 impaired drivers between 7 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday.
Suffolk police say they made 20 DWI arrests.
Southampton town police reported two DWI arrests, while Riverhead police reported another five.
Sobriety checkpoints were set up across the Island during the holiday, police say.
