A piece of the Sayville Theater roof fell Saturday and struck a child.
Police were called to the theater on Railroad Avenue around 5 p.m.
They say a leak in the roof caused a piece of sheetrock to crumble. A child was hit by the falling debris.
The child was not hurt. The building has been closed while repairs are made.
