Police say a jealous boyfriend broke another man's skull with a metal trophy in New Cassel.
According to police, Ariel Garcia, 23, choked his girlfriend at his New Cassel home yesterday morning.
Police say Garcia then took a cab to the home of a 31-year-old Hicksville man who he considers his romantic rival.
That is when Garcia fractured that man's skull with a metal trophy, according to officials.
Garcia later surrendered to police on attempted murder charges.
The other man was treated at the hospital.
No word on the condition of Garcia's girlfriend.
