Police investigating flag burning at Brentwood Islamic center as possible hate crime

A religious flag was burned outside an Islamic center in Brentwood, and Suffolk police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
Police say around 2 a.m. Monday, someone burnt the flag at the Islamic Center of Suffolk County and spray-painted pro-Trump graffiti along the flag's base.
The organization that runs the mosque is calling for a full investigation.
Authorities say they are are currently reviewing surveillance footage of the incident.
