Police in Westport are investigating what they are calling the untimely death of a 56-year-old woman.
Authorities say they were first called to a home on Oak Ridge Park around 11 a.m. Thursday for a report of an unresponsive woman by a housekeeper.
Authorities identified the woman as Jennifer Lindstrom, 56. She was found at the bottom of a staircase, leading to the home’s basement.
The State Police Major Crimes squad was later brought in to assist in the investigation.
Police stress that this was an isolated incident.
An investigation into what occurred is continuing, and an autopsy will be performed by the medical examiner.
