Brazilian police have charged two pilots from Long Island involved in a plane crash over the Amazon jungle that killed 154 people.Joseph Lepore, 42, of Bay Shore and Jan Paladino, 34, of Westhampton Beach were charged with exposing an aircraft to danger. The charges could carry a penalty of up to 12 years in prison. The men were questioned by police for six hours Friday and were then allowed to pick up their passports so they could leave the country. They are required to return for their trial. Their passports were seized after the September 29th crash, when the Brazilian-made Legacy jet they were piloting collided with a Gol Airlines Boeing 737-800.
