yesterdayA Hempstead man was arrested for allegedly
holding a woman hostage in Elmont Friday.
Police say Chad Williams, 33, flashed a handgun and tried to prevent a
22-year-old woman from calling for help.
Williams refused to leave the house when police arrived, but eventually
followed orders.
He is charged with menacing and criminal mischief.
