Police: Happauge man arrested after attempting to flee police

A Happauge man was arrested after he allegedly crashed into two police cars while trying to flee from officers.

A Happauge man was arrested after he allegedly crashed into two police cars while trying to flee from officers.
Police say they were heading to the home of a robbery suspect, Theodore Martinez, when they drove past the suspect in his own car.
They say Martinez recognized the detective and sped away before crashing into a parked car and two police cars.
One officer and one detective were treated for minor injuries.
Martinez is facing charges including robbery, assault an unlawful fleeing.
The suspect's mother, who was in the car with him, was also arrested on drug charges.
Martinez is expected to be arraigned today.
