Police say a man was shot and killed in Huntington Station Monday night.

They say the shooting happened on Lowndes Avenue just before 11 p.m.

Officers say when they got to the scene, they found a man lying in the street. He was rushed to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities identified the victim as 21-year-old Luis Cameron Rimmer-Hernandez, of Dix Hills.

Police are searching for the suspect. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
