Service was briefly suspended on four Long Island Rail Road branches Sunday morning as police investigated a suspicious package.
Police used a robot to probe the package that was found at the Floral Park LIRR station. The all-clear was given a short time later.
The LIRR had suspended service in both directions east of Jamaica on the Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson, Oyster Bay and Hempstead branches due to the police response. Service was restored after about an hour.
It's not clear what the package contained.
