A fire ripped through a vacant senior co-op early Saturday morning in Elmont, according to police.

Detectives say it began around 12 a.m. on Foster Meadow Lane.

Multiple fire departments responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported and an investigation into the cause is ongoing.

The building was previously evacuated due to damage from floodwaters in September 2023.
