Police say a female body was found by a jogger yesterday at Manorville Hills County Park. During a press conference this afternoon, police did not comment on the identity or a possible cause of death, pending the medical examiner's results. Police did say that the human remains found about a month ago in Manorville on North Street were that of a male. Detective Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick said the full skeleton remains appeared to have been there for a minimum of five years. A medical examiner is determining a cause of death in that case.Fitzpatrick would not comment on whether or not the cases seemed to be criminal. He said nothing indicates a link to the Gilgo Beach murders. A woman's unidentified remains were found near a sump back in 2000. The remains of two men were also discovered in 2000 and 2003.
