Police are trying to figure out if the same man is behind three gas station holdups Tuesday night in Suffolk.
Police say the incidents began when a man held up a gas station on Montauk Highway in East Moriches at around 7:45 p.m.
Less than two hours later, police say a man with a gun held up a gas station on the north service road of Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore.
Minutes later, a man held up a gas station on Sunrise Highway in Copiague.
Gas station owner Taj Mulk described the suspect as a young man who appeared to be nervous, wearing a red-hooded jacket and black mask. He says he was holding a gun.
Mulk says he handed over about $250.
