An Elmont man is set to face a judge today after allegedly damaging property inside an Elmont home and hurting a police officer on Saturday. 
Police tell News 12, 27-year-old John Rogers got into an argument with a 53-year-old woman that escalated and Rogers allegedly started damaging items inside the home.
News 12 has been told it happened in front of an 8-year-old boy.
Officers say they got to the scene, Rogers refused to exit the home and then became violent and started resisting arrest.
One officer was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be OK.
Rogers it facing multiple charges.
