yesterdayAn East Meadow man has been arrested after police say he stabbed another man at a motel on Hempstead Turnpike Friday.
Police say the incident happened at the Coliseum Motor Inn when Jose Gonzalez got into a verbal fight with a man.
Another man tried to intervene when Gonzalez allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the chest.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is charged with assault.
