Police say that they have surveillance video of a man behind a recent string of robberies.
In the latest incident Tuesday, police say a man entered a Dunkin' Donuts on North Jerusalem Road in East Meadow, withdrew a kitchen knife and demanded an employee open the store's cash register.
Five Dunkin' Donuts shops and a 7-Eleven were also robbed within the past week. Police say that in each incident, the suspect was wearing a mask and made off with undisclosed amounts of money.
The first robbery happened at a Dunkin' Donuts in New Hyde Park, followed by two robberies in Plainview, one in Old Bethpage and one in East Meadow.
Police say the suspect is roughly 6 feet tall, about 25 to 30 years old and had a bandana covering his face. They also say he's dangerous and aggressive. In one robbery, he pressed the knife against a female employee's torso.
No one was hurt in any of the robberies, and police are still looking for the suspect.
