A dump truck overturned in Bellmore Wednesday evening, police say.

Nassau County police say the incident happened around 11 p.m. on Sunrise Highway across from the Bellmore train station.

Police say the driver hit a parked tow truck before overturning and causing diesel fuel and hydraulic fluid to spill on the roadway.

Footage from the scene shows what looks like wood dumped all over the road.

The driver suffered a minor head laceration and was transported to the hospital for treatment, according to police.

It is not clear what led up to the crash.
