Two people are dead following a crash that happened Friday in Northampton, police say.
Investigators say a car driven by Brandon McKee crossed into oncoming traffic on Lake Avenue.
McKee's car sideswiped an SUV and then crashed head-on into another car. The driver of that vehicle, 26-year-old Eastport resident Courtney Pivirotto, was killed.
McKee was hospitalized in critical condition, but he succumbed to his injuries Saturday morning, police say.
Investigators believe 24-year-old McKee was driving under the influence of drugs and had intended to charge him with driving while ability impaired.
