Police say they found several dissected chickens in the Massapequa Preserve Friday.
They say the animals were cut open and had their intestines removed.
Authorities say one chicken was found alive and is now being cared for by animal control. 
Police say they also found ritual candles in the area.
The SCPA is offering a $2,500 reward for information in the case that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-244-TIPS.
