An East End police sergeant has filed a suit against Southampton.
Detective Sgt. Lisa Costa claims that she is a victim of "relentless gender discrimination."
She says that the Southampton Police Department is a hostile work environment, and says that she was repeatedly refused promotions based on gender.
Costa also complains that superiors commented on the size of her breasts while she was pregnant.
The town attorney tells Newsday that Southampton intends to defend each and every allegation presented in the suit.
