Police helped a Wantagh mom deliver her baby on the parkway yesterday.
Police say they received a call that a woman was going into labor on the Wantagh Parkway around 4 a.m. Sunday.
Nassau police officers and EMS helped deliver baby Sophie Elizabeth inside the ambulance. Her proud father was in the car behind the ambulance waiting to meet his daughter.
Sophie Elizabeth weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces.
Both mom and baby are doing good.
