The search of suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann’s home has ended for the day on Monday.
Police are continuing to stand guard over the active crime scene.
Police arrived at the Massapequa Park home early Monday morning, 10 months after Heuermann was arrested.
According to sources, investigators
executed a search warrant. It’s not clear if the warrant is connected to the four women Heuermann is charged with murdering, or if it has to do with other victims.
Sources tell News 12 Heuermann’s estranged wife is on vacation in South Carolina with the couple’s son.
His daughter was at the house when police arrived Monday morning.
