We begin tonight with one person killed and two others injured on a roadway where residents say drivers are going too fast. All three victims were related news twelve's Kristen mcnally has been at the scene all day and has the latest developments on this tragedy. That's right. Three siblings were going for a jog on Harned road when all of them were hit by a car on Wednesday morning. Sadly, we have learned the oldest sibling of the siblings that were jogging together has died as a result of her injuries from the crash. And we spoke with grieving family members just a short time ago. Take me and she will be in their life. A grandmother heartbroken after three of her grandchildren were hit by a car and her 22 year old granddaughter died from her injuries. She is a very kind person, not just to me. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. It's unbelievable. Unbelievable what happens early Wednesday morning. Police say 22 year old Elona Kaino and her brothers, 20 year old Dennis and 13 year old Joseph were struck by a car. That's horrible. I can't really can't fathom this is the first time I've ever really been near like such an accident. Alona was transported to South Shore University where she was pronounced dead. The young men were also transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. I saw one, a boy, a teenager, I would say on a stretcher looked like a head injury, possibly. Like over here my daughter from her window said she did see someone else get pulled out on a stretcher. That's a shame. I mean, this is a horrible road. The accident happened between New Highway and Coho Lane. Harned Road has a narrow shoulder and no sidewalk for people to walk on where the crash occurred. People who live on the busy roadway say it is very dangerous for pedestrians. I think people drive way too fast on this road. People speed, we all speed, everyone speeds but you really got to be cognizant of your environment. This is a neighborhood. I know it's got a double yellow line, but that doesn't mean anything. Francis police say was driving the car with two adult passengers at the time of the crash. What was left behind in the roadway from the Chrysler Voyager was a smashed rear view mirror that had been knocked off of the black minivan. And that car also had damage to the exterior passenger side where the windshield was completely shattered. Scary, definitely scary. Everyone needs to slow down. The scene was cleared by about 11 30 in the morning and we are told that the driver did stay on the scene. And as for that grandmother that we spoke to earlier, I can tell you she was just beside herself. You could almost feel the pain in her eyes after this horrible tragedy this morning.
