Police: Woman fatally struck by car while jogging in Commack; 2 brothers hurt

A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Commack early Thursday, police say.
They say two of the victim’s brothers were also injured.
The incident happened at 8:20 a.m. on Harned Road while 22-year-old Ilona Kaydanov and her brothers were jogging.
Police say Kaydanov was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Her brothers, 20-year-old Dennis Kaydanov and 13-year-old Joseph Kaydanov, suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrians was impounded for a safety check.
