Police: Central Islip man arrested, accused of making ghost guns at home

Suffolk detectives say they found two assault rifles with magazines, a 3D printer with a computer, six ghost gun-type receivers, ammunition and 3D printing material inside Brandon Marquez's house on Clift Street in Central Islip.

An arsenal of assault rifles, ammunition and a 3D printer were all seized from the Central Islip of a man accused of making undetectable ghost guns.
Suffolk police say Brandon Marquez, 23, was driving a 2020 Acura and was pulled over on Brentwood Road Thursday evening around 10:20 p.m. for an expired registration. Officers found an illegal weapon and a large-capacity magazine on him, according to authorities.
Suffolk detectives say they found two assault rifles with magazines, a 3D printer with a computer, six ghost gun-type receivers, ammunition and 3D printing material inside his house on Clift Street in Central Islip.
Marquez is facing six counts of criminal manufacture of an undetectable firearm and several other weapons charges.
Marquez was held overnight at the 3rd Precinct. He is expected to be arraigned on Saturday.
