Police: Body found in East Atlantic Beach intersection

Investigators say the unidentified man was found near the intersection of Buffalo Avenue and Beech Street.

Police say a body that was found early Saturday morning in East Atlantic Beach.

Police say the unidentified man was found around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of Buffalo Avenue and Beech Street.

They say he was pronounced dead at the scene. Nassau police have not released any details surrounding their investigation.

Residents were shocked about the discovery and are looking for answers.

"It's a very quiet neighborhood. It's the first time anything like this ever happened here," said resident Brandon Rosenblatt.

Nassau police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911.
