Southampton police say a body that was found in a wooded area of Sagaponack is believed to be that of a missing woman.
The body was discovered by a hunter. Detectives preliminarily identified the remains as 40-year-old Lilia Aucapina, who had been missing since Oct. 10.
Aucapina, who was also known as "Esperanza," was reported missing just hours after police responded to a domestic dispute between her and her husband.
Detectives say they don't believe the death is criminal, but the case remains under investigation.
