Police say a Bethpage man stabbed two men after he tried to hit them with his car on New Year's Eve.
Authorities say Jeff Saint-Gerard got into an argument with a 29-year-old man and a 16-year-old outside of his home around 7:30 p.m.
The dispute escalated quickly as detectives say Saint-Gerard tried to run the two over with his car. They say he then jumped out of the driver's seat, slashed the older man's face, arm and chest, and stabbed the 16-year-old in the chest. He was arrested at the scene.
Both victims are in stable condition.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the violence.
Saint-Gerard is facing several charges, including two counts of first degree assault. He is set to be arraigned on Saturday morning.
