Nassau County police say they responded to an argument between Claude Keith, 54, and an unidentified woman.
The woman notified police of a loaded gun that was kept in the home.
Police found a loaded handgun in an unlocked safe.
Keith was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a firearm along with other charges.
