A Babylon man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into two businesses and attempting to rob another, police say.

Police say 30-year-old Matthew Matheis tried to get into a laundromat in West Babylon. Exclusive video shows him breaking the window with a hammer, which detectives say happened early Tuesday.

Later that day, police say Matheis broke into The Health Spa in North Babylon.

Matheis was arrested Wednesday when police responded to a burglary in progress at The Casual Foot Spa in Lindenhurst. When officers arrived, they found the front window of the store had bene broken and Matheis inside burglarizing the business.

Detectives say he had also tried to break into that same business earlier that day.
