Police say they have arrested the man who allegedly shot and killed a 21-year-old in Freeport early Sunday morning.
They say Autrey Smith, of Roosevelt, surrendered Thursday at around 3 p.m. to detectives at the First Precinct in Baldwin. He is accused of firing multiple rounds in the driveway of a home located at 49 Colonial Ave., killing 21-year-old Lyreek Crawley.
Smith is charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
He will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
