An elderly man was killed and another man was injured in a crash in Hewlett Tuesday.

It happened on Peninsula Boulevard just before noon. Homicide detectives say 85-year-old Bertram Wolf, of Floral Park, was making a left onto Harris Avenue when he collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The 85-year-old was rushed to a hospital, but died. The 77-year-old driver of the pickup was hospitalized in serious condition.
