Police: 6 vehicles stolen from delivery drivers in Suffolk County

Suffolk County police are warning food delivery drivers about a string of recent car thefts.

Suffolk County police are warning food delivery drivers about a string of recent car thefts.
Detectives say six vehicles have been stolen from drivers during what turned out to be phony deliveries.
The incidents date back to July 7 in a variety of locations including Port Jefferson Station, North Bellport and Setauket.
Police are urging delivery drivers to be cautious and keep their keys on them at all times.
Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
