Five people were rescued from a disabled boat Monday night in the Great South Bay.

Five people were rescued from a disabled boat Monday night in the Great South Bay.
Police say Marine Bureau Officers spotted an emergency flare around 8:20 p.m. near Fire Island Pines as lightning and wind gusts were beginning to pick up.
They say everyone on board was wearing a life vest and no one was injured during the incident.
