Police: Up to $5,000 fast cash reward offered for arrest in fatal Coram hit-and-run

Police say the vehicle's front passenger headlight is missing, and there is damage to the front passenger bumper.

Police are offering a reward to find the hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a 13-year-old in Coram.
As News 12 has reported, Tyler Phillips and his sister were hit over a week ago as they walked along Granny Road. Tyler died over the weekend.
Tyler’s family says the car that hit the kids had no headlights on and that he pushed his sister out of the way and endured the brunt of the crash.
The teen was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition and had been on life support for several days before he died.
Tyler’s sister suffered minor injuries to her arm.
Police are now offering up to a $5,000 cash reward leading to the arrest of the driver involved.
Suffolk detectives believe the vehicle that hit the siblings was a light grey 2005-2009 Chevrolet Equinox.
