Police: 3 suspects robbed Elmont deli, BP gas station

Nassau police are trying to track down three people responsible for robbing a deli and gas station within minutes of each other.
Detectives say three suspects entered Elmont Deli & Grocery at 237-01 Linden Blvd. after 9 p.m. Tuesday. 
Once inside, they allegedly approached the counter, where one suspect implied they had a gun and grabbed money and tobacco products, police said. There were three employees in the store at the time, according to police. 
The suspects fled the deli on foot to a BP gas station across the street, which they robbed of money and lotto products, police said. One of the three suspects allegedly threatened the two employees and customers inside at the time.
The trio fled onto the Cross Island Parkway northbound in a red, four-door sedan, which police said included two other passengers.
No injuries were reported in either of the two incidents.
Police released descriptions of the three suspects:
  • Suspect one is about 5-feet, 7-inches tall, wearing gray pants, a yellow winter jacket, red shirt, clown-style full facemask with a black wig and black gloves.
  • Suspect two is about 5-feet, 8-inches tall, wearing dark pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, black facemask and black gloves
  • Suspect three is about 5-feet, 7-inches tall, wearing black pants, a black North Face jacket, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, black facemask with goggle-style glasses and gloves.
